Abi Blakeslee

SEP, CMT, LMFT, Ph.D., SE® instructor, faculty member of Somatic Experiencing® International and the Foundation for Human Enrichment

Abi integrates Somatic Experiencing® with clinical research, psychobiological principles of attachment, psychodynamic therapy, and somatic bodywork in both her professional practice and teaching. She conducted her own research on the role of implicit memory with a committee that included Dr. Daniel Siegel among others.

Dr. Blakeslee has qualifications in counseling and psychology, as well as a doctoral degree in clinical and somatic psychology. Her areas of interest include the intersection of neuroscience and current trauma research, as well as the psychobiological principles of Somatic Experiencing®.

She works with individual, couple, child, and family therapy, covering a wide range of topics.

Currently, she lives in Bozeman, Montana with her husband, two sons, and daughter. She primarily focuses on individual and group consultations appropriate to the training level in SE®, conducts SE® trainings and workshops, and presents at professional conferences.

She often collaborates with Peter Levine, and they currently offer two workshops in the USA: 'Connecting to the Deep Self: How to Access Developmental Trauma through Structure and Archetypes' and 'Syndromes.
