I am based in Bristol, UK, I work privately both face to face and online. I have been in private practice for over 25 years as a Humanistic Integrative counsellor and also trained in Somatic Experiencing, Family Constellations, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, level 1 Bodynamics. I also practice in Neuro Affective touch and was trained by Aline La Pierre. I am currently training with Kathy Kain in Touch Skills. I have assisted on Somatic Experiencing Trainings in London and Edinburgh.

I specialise in trauma and adoption and especially work with adoptive families regarding therapeutic parenting. Somatic Experiencing helps me have a greater understanding of the vicarious trauma that adoptive parents absorb from their traumatised children and how to support them. I was also an adoptive parent and a birth parent.

 

I love the fact that our bodies are all experts for each of us and my work allows me to support others in this. I am especially interested in people telling their stories on all levels and growing into themselves. I am working on developing therapeutic games to support people sharing stories and am writing a second novel. Previously I was a family and child lawyer. I have lived in England, Greece and Italy.
